  • Description

Vetina Gabapentin 300 mg Tablet is a veterinary medication used for pain relief and seizure management in dogs and cats. It is particularly effective in treating neuropathic pain (such as diabetic neuropathy and post-herpetic neuralgia) and is commonly used as an adjunct therapy for refractory or complex seizures. Gabapentin works by modulating nerve signals, reducing pain, and preventing overactive neuronal firing, making it an essential medication for pets suffering from chronic pain or epilepsy.

  • Composition :
Gabapentin IP – 300 mg (Synthetic GABA analogue with anticonvulsant and pain-relieving properties)
Excipients – q.s. (Ensures stability and efficacy of the formulation)

Indications/Uses

  • Effective Pain Relief – Helps manage chronic pain, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical pain in dogs and cats.
  • Seizure Control – Used as an adjunct treatment for epilepsy and refractory seizures, especially when other medications are not effective.
  • GABA Analogue – Mimics the action of GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid), helping to calm nerve overactivity.
  • Improves Quality of Life – Reduces pain, improves mobility, and enhances the overall well-being of pets.
  • Safe for Long-Term Use – Well tolerated when used under veterinary supervision.

        Directions for use:

        • Dogs: 10 mg/kg body weight, given three times daily (TID). Higher doses of 30–60 mg/kg TID may be used for severe cases.

        • Cats: 5–10 mg/kg body weight, administered twice or thrice daily.

        • Administer orally with or without food.

        • Give at regular intervals to maintain stable blood levels.

        • Do not stop abruptly—gradual withdrawal is recommended to prevent withdrawal symptoms or seizure recurrence.

        • Always follow the veterinarian’s dosage instructions based on the pet’s specific condition.

        Suitable for Dogs & Cats
