Virbac Effitix Spot-On for Dogs is a flea and tick treatment for dogs. It's a topical solution applied directly to the dog's skin, offering protection against these common parasites. Effitix typically kills fleas within 24 hours and ticks within 48 hours, and its effects can last for several weeks. This medicine is generally well-tolerated, but like any medication, some dogs may experience mild reactions.

Uses of Virbac Effitix Spot On for Dogs

Virbac Effitix Spot-On for Dogs is used for the following:

• Killing fleas & ticks: It kills fleas& ticks on dogs, helping to relieve itching and prevent infestations.   

• Repelling mosquitoes: It repels mosquitoes, which can be a nuisance and can transmit diseases.

• Repelling sandflies: It repels sandflies, which can also transmit diseases.  

• Killing lice: It kills biting and chewing lice on dogs.   

• Aiding in the control of mites: It aids in the control of mite infestations that can cause sarcoptic mange.

Directions for Use

1. Choose the correct size:

Effitix comes in different sizes based on your dog's weight. Make sure you select the appropriate one for your dog.

2. Application:

• Remove the applicator: Take one applicator out of the packaging.

• Open the applicator: Hold the applicator upright and remove the cap. You may need to invert the cap and push it down to break the seal.  

• Apply to the skin: Part your dog's hair until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the applicator directly against the skin.

• Small dogs: For small dogs, apply the entire contents of the applicator to a single spot between the shoulder blades.

• Medium and large dogs: For medium and large dogs, apply the product evenly to a few spots along the dog's back, starting between the shoulder blades.

• Squeeze the applicator: Squeeze the applicator until it is empty, ensuring that the product is applied to the skin and not just the fur.
